How can I see the Expiration Date and Last 4 digits of a credit card?
Credit card numbers and expiration dates are stored in encrypted fields in Salesforce, meaning they appear as a series of asterisks after being saved. If a card is tokenized you may choose to have it deleted from the Salesforce database (as determined by the Credit Card Handling field on the Gateway).
Chargent provides several fields to help you see the expiration date and last 4 digits of a credit card, for identification purposes with your customers or to use in other flows or automated processes within Salesforce.
Card Details is a Visualforce field that shows the card type, last 4, and expiration date, with color coding based on how close the expiration date is (green if more than 2 months away, yellow if within 30 days, red if already expired).
