How can I change merchant accounts or merchant ID's?

Generally when you change your merchant account / payment processor, the details of your payment gateway also change. In some cases the payment gateway could stay the same, but generally the two are bundled or a new payment gateway account will be required to connect to your new merchant account.

Chargent connects to your payment gateway, so you would obtain the credentials of the new payment gateway account, and enter them in a new Gateway record in Salesforce to connect to that payment gateway. 

Chargent is integrated with more than 20 different payment gateways, so please ensure that your merchant account / payment processor can accept transactions through one of them.
