The Gateway keeps saying my credentials are incorrect

  • Copy & Paste credentials
  • Make sure test gateways are setup with the test credentials and production gateways setup with production credentials.
  • Does your password have a special character?  You can test the information being sent to your gateway by setting the Gateway Settings to debug then running the charge.
  • If you are using the Sandbox account and looking to test with live credentials you would need to populate the URL in the endpoint override field.
  • If you are on an older version of Chargent and updated recently you may need to setup a new Gateway using your gateways test credentials.
