Credentials you provided are not valid. Please check and try again

If you are using our Gateway Setup Wizard and receiving the message "Credentials you provided are not valid.  Please check and try again.", this could mean the Remote Site Settings need to be active.

To Resolve this you need to go into Salesforce Settings (clicking the gear icon on the top right).

  1. Enter Remote Sites in the Quickfind
  2. Edit your Gateway Remote Site.  There is generally two Remote Sites to activate.  One for Sandbox and one for Production.
  3. Check the box that says Active and save the record.

You should now be able to continue through the Gateway Setup Wizard without receiving that message.
