Receiving Error 150 from Cybersource

This is a general error message that gets returned from Cybersource. It usually means that some part of your payment settings at Cybersource or your payment processor is not configured correctly. 

Here are a couple of things to look at which we have found in the past to cause this error. 
  • Payment Tokenization Service has not been enabled with Cybersource.  You should contact Cybersource to have tokenization enabled.
     
  • If you are using tokenization and have Payment Tokenization Services enabled, you may need to update the Order Source for ACH transactions.  The Order Source field on the Chargent Order gets mapped to the SEC code in Cybersource and tells Cybersource the authorization method of ACH transaction.

(Please make sure you are on Chargent version 5.59 or later).

The below mapping of the Order Source field will send the corresponding SEC code to Cybersource when you charge using a Payment Method of check and you register a token for a check. The SEC code will determine the type of ACH transaction.
